SmartyDigi is the trading name of SMARTYDIGI LTD, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16430739. We decide how your personal information is used, which makes us the “controller” under UK data protection law.

What we collect and why
When you contact us
By phone, WhatsApp, email or a form on this site: your name, your contact details, your business name and whatever you tell us about your business. We use it to reply and, if you ask, to prepare a quote. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you, and taking the steps you ask for before any contract.
When you take the Smart Marketing Score
Your name, email address, business name, and your website and phone number if you give them. Also your answers, what you tell us about your business (such as its size and what you’d like to change), and which of our links brought you to the Score, if it was one we tagged. We use them to work out your score, show you your results, email you a copy and follow up about them. If your answers show we could help, we may offer you a free review call. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in giving you the results you asked for.
We only send you our monthly email if you say yes to it, and you can unsubscribe from any email with one click. For that, our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
When you become a client
Your contact and billing details, information about your business, and any account access you give us (for example to your social media, Google Business Profile or ad accounts). We use it to deliver the work we’ve agreed, to invoice you and to keep proper accounts. Our legal bases are our contract with you and our legal duty to keep financial records.
When we run marketing for a client, any information about that client’s own customers belongs to the client. We only use it to do the work they’ve asked for.
When you visit this website
This website doesn’t use cookies or advertising trackers (see Cookies). We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which works without cookies and doesn’t identify you: it only shows us totals, such as page views, where visitors came from, their country and the type of device. Like every website, our hosting company keeps short technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser types, to keep the site secure and working. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe website.
Who we share it with
We never sell your information. We only share it with companies that help us run SmartyDigi, such as:
- the company that hosts this website (Vercel)
- the company that hosts the database where Score results and messages from our contact form are kept (Supabase)
- the company that sends our website’s emails, such as your Score results (Resend)
- the company that takes card payments for us (Stripe), which handles your card details under its own privacy policy; we never see your full card number
- our email, file storage and accounting providers
- our accountant, and HMRC when the law requires it
If you message us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (part of Meta) handles that message under its own privacy policy. The same goes for Instagram and Facebook if you contact us there.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK, for example in the USA. When your information goes abroad, we make sure it’s protected by the safeguards UK law requires.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and Score results that don’t lead to work: up to 2 years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Client records: while we work together, then 6 years, because UK law says we must keep financial records.
- Our monthly email list: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- send you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that’s wrong
- delete your information
- limit how we use it, or stop using it for a particular purpose
- send your information to you or another company in a common format
- stop sending you marketing emails, at any time

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this page
If we change how we use your information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top. Big changes, like adding advertising tools to this site, will be explained here before they happen.
